About
This weblog is directed at the preservation of the correct use of the English language through brief lessons, random thoughts, and occasional rants. The purpose of this site is not to chide those whose grammar and spelling skills are not perfect; to be sure, ours aren’t. Rather, it is meant to be a resource for those who are genuinely curious about these sorts of things and who want to refresh their practical working knowledge on its contents.
Contributors to this site have included two are accomplished editors, one self-described overeducated cubicle rat, one nearly-done graduate student on the verge of reclaiming her life, and one medical and graduate student.

UPDATE: If you hadn’t noticed, this site has been dormant for a while. Nevertheless, it still appears to be one of the most widely-read grammar blogs on the internet. Welcome to Language Rules.
